The Seniors Pennant competition was held at Box hill this week and both teams showed a marked improvement in their performance.

The Blacks achieved 5 wins out of a possible 8 (Cris Kotopoulos 3/1, Shayne Cairns 2/1, Gavin Pearce 2/1, Sarath Silva 3/2 and Jennifer Bernhardt 1/0) Special mentions to Cris for his first win for us this season and to Jennifer who, after a number of draws and close losses, blitzed the last hole for her first ever win.

The Reds played last year’s winners and came away with a creditable 4 wins (Rod Heideman 2/0, Joe Caruana, Mal Heighton 4/3 and Frank Sudborough 5/3).

We set out to win the close ones, which we did and if we continue to do so at Whittlesea next week, we are in with a fighting chance to make the finals.
