Both our teams performed well last Monday at home, but not well enough to dislodge the two Heidelberg teams, who have dominated the competition for four consecutive seasons.

Our notable players were John Nicholls 8/7, Rodney Heideman 6/5, Greg Hayes 6/5, Gavin Pearce 5/4, Sarath Silva 5/4, Sam Saykan 5/3, Chris Petkovski 4/2, and Ian Witham 3/2.

Rodney Wright, playing in his first Pennant game, squared his match, as did Allan Searl and Des Borg.

All the teams other than the top two play off for the Plate, which will be held at Rosanna this coming Monday. This will bring down the curtain on another season.

While all the players tried their best to get our club into the trophy playoff and we came up short, the positives coming out of the season are that we unearthed some new talent, gained more experience at some pretty good courses and perhaps most significantly, this season has taken our competition from its fledgling stage to what all participating clubs agree is a fully-fledged part of our golfing calendar.

On behalf of all of the Seniors Pennant squad we would like to thank the Club for its continued support of our teams, both financially and also the members who came out to support us on the course.
