No right turn from or into Yan Yean Road
Published on 3rd June 2018 in UncategorizedMembers,
Many of you will be aware of the proposed upgrades to Yan Yean Road (Stage 2).
What you may not know, is that it is proposed to run wire rope barriers down the middle of the road, and prevent all right turns into or out of the Golf Course (as well as the Primary School, Horse park, Child care, Archery centre etc)
A new “u-turn” location is to be established at Youngs Road – 900 metres from the Golf Course entrance for those coming from the north, and those wishing to travel toward Greensborough will turn left, then u-turn at the new traffic lights at Bannons Lane.
Michael McKay of Belgravia Leisure and I propose to hold discussions with VicRoads to revisit the proposed model and see if the entrance can be redesigned, and perhaps incorporated into the new Bannons Lane intersection.
To best inform these discussions, please complete this short survey: Yan Yean Road Survey
I also encourage you to email VicRoads Yan Yean Road Design on this issue.

Stuart Thompson
