Reminder – Notice of Special General Meeting

Published on 17th October 2018 in Uncategorized

Members,

As raised at the AGM on August 28th, a Special General Meeting is required to again adopt the “Rules of Association” that were accepted by majority vote at the 2017 AGM.

Because they were not lodged with Consumer Affairs Victoria within the prescribed 28 day period after the 2017 AGM, a new meeting to adopt them is required.

It is proposed to hold Special General Meeting to consider this item on October 20th 2018 at 2:30pm.

The meeting will be held in the Pool Room at Yarrambat Park Golf Course, 649 Yan Yean Road Yarrambat.

The only item to be be raised will be:

“that the Yarrambat Golf Club Inc adopt the 2017 (Modified) Rules of Association” – these can be found under the ‘Forms’ tab on the website.

A quorum of 10% of our member base is required to enable both the meeting to be held (29 members in person or by proxy) and a vote to be taken.

We appreciate that this seems unusual, but it is a requirement by Consumer Affairs that this be done.

Any questions – on this one and only issue – should be forwarded to the YGC Secretary John Ward prior to the meeting, to ensure they are adequately addressed.

We would appreciate your brief attendance (after your round) at this meeting that should, ideally, take no more than 10 minutes.

regards,

Stuart Thompson

President

YGC Inc.
