Important Notice Please Read
IMMEDIATE INTRODUCTION OF CART RULES
To assist in maintaining the condition of the course, all ride-on carts and variants (hire or personal) are to be driven strictly on paths or in the rough ONLY!
Under no circumstances are any carts to be driven on the fairways – at any point.
A notice to this effect will be given with every cart hire agreement.
Penalties: including prohibition from use of personal or hire carts will apply to those found breaking the rules.
These are YPG Course rules from Belgravia Leisure Management, and penalties will be applied and enforced by them – we do not want any YGC member to fall foul of this directive.
This is on top of the YGC Local Rule requiring carts are kept at least 10 metres from all greens and away from all tee boxes.
NOTE: If you are on the short grass around the green, you are too close and will be incur a 2 stroke penalty – and you must be on the path after crossing the bridge on 16 – do not drive around the back or side of the green – no excuses at all!
In the interest of maintaining the condition of the course, every member is encouraged to monitor this instruction, and any and all reported breaches will be actioned.
All members are aware of the soft area of the course, including in the rough, and any member who chooses to drive in areas that cause damage or course deterioration, because they don’t want to walk 10-15 m to their ball will have no grounds for complaint if the are consequently banned from cart use.
There are 1000 others who use the course every week, we cannot cause all those others to suffer through careless or selfish actions.
I do not apologise for the harsh tone of this notice, I have spent the last week following our members and repairing pitch marks and divots, and seeing mindless players pushing buggies and driving carts into obviously soft muddy areas. It is beyond time we each took responsibility for our own actions, and began actively caring for our course.
