Safety on the course.

Members,

As more and more golfers opt for the mechanical assistance of motorised and remote buggies and personal golf carts, it is imperative that due care and attention is paid.

There have been many cases of members being ankle tapped, or some some cases fully run down by rogue buggies in the hands of inattentive or careless operators.

If you are uncertain of your controls, remedial remote buggy classes will be held at 4PM Fridays over the next few weeks, to offer tips and tricks, a practice obstacle course and ways to avoid ‘pocket’ remote driving.

‘Buggy paddle’ swimming lessons can be arranged at extra cost.

But seriously, keep your buggy in front of you and in your sight at all times and keep carts and buggies away from steeper slopes and soft/slippery areas.

Regards,

Stuart Thompson

President YGC & 3 time survivor of the remote buggy hit & run.
