Temporary relief from fallen trees – 1st/9th and 10/18th holes

Published on 3rd January 2022 in Uncategorized

Until they are removed by the ground staff the areas affected by the recently fallen large gum trees – one between the 1st/9th holes, and one between the 10th/18th holes – will be marked as Ground Under Repair.

(Note: relief is only available if the ball is within the area as marked by the white line).

Relief may be taken under Rule 16.1 from the Abnormal Course Condition.

Players must find the nearest point of complete relief (reference point), and then take a free drop within that one club relief area.

  • Reference Point: The nearest point of complete relief in the general area.
  • Size of Relief Area Measured from Reference Point: One club-lengthbut with these limits:
  • Limits on Location of Relief Area:
    • Must be in the general area,
    • Must not be nearer the hole than the reference point, and
    • There must be complete relief from all interference by the abnormal course condition.
    • Even if taking relief puts you in a worse predicament
