Senior’s Pennant R2

A good day was had by all, weather conditions on the day proved to be a little warmer than expected but everyone soldiered on, a couple of the games almost went to the very end which is always good as it shows a good contest.
Overall, we finished with the points, with 4 wins and a square for the day. The ot is great to be back playing Snr Pennant, enjoying meeting and playing with other golfers from other clubs (and beating them) including playing at clubs that otherwise we may not get the opportunity.

Round 2 saw the Blue team take on Whittlesea at home. The team shook off the disappointments of the previous round and ended the match all square with 3 wins, 3 losses and 2 halves.
Noteworthy efforts from Allan Searl and David Morley in using local knowledge to have emphatic wins 6 and 5 and 5 and 4 respectively. All the other matches were again hard-fought contests.
Lunch was again a highlight and I think we even outdid Heidelberg with Jaz’s magnificent popcorn chicken and rice while eating in front of the great vista of looking over the 18th hole.

The course was in magnificent condition. I think we are gathering momentum now so looking forward to a net win next week at Rosanna over the Box Hill Fillies.
