Under grey skies the YGC stalwarts ventured out, hoping to beat the weather and post a good score. The BBQ was in full swing with Mike Lester on the tongs, and Lucky Numbers were flying off the chart with John Cobbet spruiking his heart out. Thanks to Matty Allen for the great set-up.

Some magnificent golf was played by Bernie Merino (+8) and John Mitchell (🦅 on the 4th) but otherwise the day was pretty dour, once the drizzle set in it was fairly bleak. There were some great splashes of colour (from those who read the web-posting.)

Overall over $1000 was raised on a very average day for golf. Well done to our members for their generosity. Hopefully on Saturday we can get out there in bright sunshine (🤞🤞🙏🙏) and round out a great effort. Wilso and Wardy carry the burden for the BBQ and sales (let’s see if they can live up to expectations!)

At least one player was seen to be going to great lengths to drive home relatively dry! 😲🙈

Please bring your loose change and generous attitude to support these worthy causes (and leave room for the snags!) (…and say a few prayers to the weather gods and maybe send a plea to Jane Bunn, Livinia or Maddie Slattery for some sunshine!)

A reminder entry is $10 and play will be off the RED DOMES for all players for this event (Please pay no heed to any other domes for this event.)
