Group bookings for the Scratch and Grade (Handicap) leaders have been set. The purpose of this is to create the feeling of playing against your direct opponents who are vying for the title!

This has meant that a few people have been shuffled in their tee times – the reward for playing good golf! Please check your booking times!

If anyone has a genuine and pressing necessity for playing in their original group, please notify the Club Captain, Vice Captain or President as soon as possible. If no emails are received by Monday evening, the ‘reserved – holding blocks’ will be removed.

The open Club Championship is shaping up as a ding dong battle between Darren Kershaw and Cris Kotopoulos yet again, with Ron Dingle threatening to swoop in and claim the crown should anyone falter!

B Grade is wide open, and Victor Cheche, Vice Captain Joe Caruana, Catherine Rogers and Shayne Cairns are set to battle it out over the next few weeks, with plenty of challengers in striking distance, including defending champion Ian Witham, who has some ground to make up.

You can throw a blanket over the top 10 in C Grade – with the two snappiest dressers in the Club – Sammy Pandarakanu and Alan Blaquiere leading the field.
