Housekeeping – Day 1

Published on 19th October 2020 in Uncategorized

Afternoon all,

For those fortunate enough to get out on the Course today, I’m sure you would agree that the break has done wonders for the course.

In order to keep it that way for as long as possible; we all need to play our part in maintaining the course,  for ourselves and our fellow golfers.

So for those who may have forgotten some basic course etiquette over the extended break; here are the key points;

  • please fix your pitch marks on the greens
  • carry your (personally issued) red sand bucket and fill your own divots
  • do not drive ride-on Carts between bunkers and green, nor onto the apron of the green – drive around the back of the bunkers/mounds and stay off the fringes
  • smooth any bunkers with your foot after you have played out

These are very small things that we can each do – at the time – to look after the course, please don’t expect someone else to repair the course after you have played your shot.

For those looking to extend their play to 18 holes, when you check in for your round on the day (and not before) check with the pro shop staff and, if there is an appropriate slot in the field, they will book you in for a second 9.

Regards, and happy golfing.
