Monday 22 March – Updates

Published on 22nd March 2021 in Uncategorized

Good afternoon members,

First the great news:

Yarrambat REDS won the Senior Pennant in the matchplay final a Whittlesea against the highly fancied Rosanna Green – winning 5&3 – our first Seniors win in this competition! (Well done to Jenny and her Red team members)

Yarrambat BLACK won the Plate event, with the highest team aggregate stableford score (238 points) – beating out 9 other teams in the process – Well done Joe and his Black team members. (More will follow on these results when they all stop celebrating!) No Club has ever won both events before!

Yarrambat VGA Pennant travelled to Melton Valley GC to take on the hosting club; and came away with a fighting 4&3 win in atrocious conditions to move to equal top position, with a round still in hand. (Melbourne Airport GC at Mt Derrimut next Sunday)

All of our representative team members should be very proud of their achievements thus far – hopefully with more to come!

Now the stick.

Members are reminded that play for male members will always be from the BLUE DOMES – whether we are polaying the white/gold or blue course – play will always be off the Blue Domes.

Under no circumstances are members to take it upon themselves move any Domes – for any reason, even if you think you are doing the ‘right thing’.

Monday’s Competition (22/03) has been declared void as the domes were moved mid-comp, resulting in 1/2 the field playing from different places.

My condololences to those with good scores.

Competition fees for this day will be held for next Monday, or refunded on request. See Joe, Howard or Stuart for a refund if needed.
