Important information – do not disregard.

As of Friday 22nd October there will be a return to 4 player, 18 hole golf played under competition rules – but ONLY for those who have been double vaccinated against Covid-19, with an approved vaccine, or those whom have a legitimate and accepted medical exemption per the ATAGI guidelines previously published. (No exceptions)
This is a pre-requisite to entry to the entire complex, including the café, pro shop, range, putting green and mini golf and has been instituted by Belgravia Leisure with the full support of the YGC Committee and Nillumbik Council. We all have a duty of care to create a safe environment for our members and course staff. No extensions or further exemptions will be granted.
Any member found to be breaching this requirement, or abusing or berating staff or Committee members will be subject to disciplinary sanction.
Anybody attempting to gain entry by fraudulent means will be referred to the relevant authorities.
Commencing Saturday October 23 play will resume under the proper rules of golf – no gimmies, sandshoe wedges or mulligans – with scoring on the App (or by card if absolutely necessary. (A reminder the App fee will require renewing next month)
Saturday October 23 will be Round 5 (the last round) of the Captain’s Cup (Stableford) and Saturday October 30 will be the Foundation Cup (Handicapped Stroke) leading into the Club Championships in November.
For the first week of play (til November 6) – no competition entry fee is required.
To be eligible to book through the Club website, you must have provided proof of double vaccination to the Committee before Saturday 23 October, or before you intend to book a future round after that date. Those who have not provided such evidence will have booking privileges suspended and any player booked that has not provided the required proof will be removed from the booking sheet.
You must check in via the QR Code, or sign in sheet if you do not have a smart phone every time you attend – no excuses or exceptions, and if you book outside YGC block times, you will also be required to show your vax ‘passport’.
Please ensure you have forwarded your certificate or shown a member of the Committee Executive the necessary documentation before you try to book in.
The Club will be awarding set prizes to 1st and 2nd place in each grade, and a ball run down funded from the Clubs reserves.
We look forward to seeing those of you who are permitted on course soon,
Regards,
Stuart Thompson
President YGC
