For Saturday the 17th September’s 8:30 AM Shotgun Ambrose you will be playing in a Team of 2 (if there are three players, the low marker swings)

*Note: Bookings may be adjusted to balance team player numbers

At the start of play select ONE player to score for the TEAM and then select your starting hole.

• The player in the 1st and 3rd cell of the booking sheet will be their Team’s Captain and in the App will be referred to as “Team <Player 1 Surname>”
• The team’s handicap will be displayed on this screen (for example, players with handicaps of 6,20 become a team handicap of 6.5) [both handicaps are added together and divided by 4]

• Only one player in the team can score and the scores will automatically be transferred to the first player in the cell.

  The usual scoring interface will appear and other players will still have access to all the features MiScore offers

  • GPS distance to green/pin functionality
  • Running Score Total
  • Pace of Play timer
  • Lost ball timer

  Please note: In an Ambrose format scoring a “Pick up” will result in a DQ scored for your team

2 BALL AMBROSE FORMAT

Groups of two players’ (2 person ambrose)  work as a team.

Each player hits off the tee, the best shot is selected and the other player picks up their ball and will then play from a place within one handspan of the selected best ball.

Each person then hits a second shot from the same spot. The best shot is again selected.

• If your selected best ball is in a bunker or hazard then each of the player’s balls must be played from within that bunker or hazard

This continues until the ball is in the hole. On the putting green the best ball is marked and the other balls are played from this position.

One score is thus recorded on each hole. This is the sum of the best shots used throughout the hole.

Each player is required to count a minimum of 6 drives.

• On completion of scoring, before submission the team scorer will be asked to confirm the gross scores for the team and an enlarged signature box will appear for multiple signatures

  • The front 9 and back 9 gross scores will appear and the Nett score will appear in the blue box on the right (gross 31 + 36 – 6.5 team handicap = 60.5)
  • TWO signatures/names to verify scores are required.
