Covid-19 case – Wednesday

Published on 25th March 2022 in Uncategorized
Gavin Pearce started feeling crook on Wednesday  evening, did 2 RAT tests which came up negative, but decided to have a PCR test on Thursday morning.

He received an SMS this morning confirming he was positive.

The timing of the infection (48 hours) would indicate that he may have caught it at the senior pennant finals on Monday.

He played golf at Yarrambat on Wednesday, (before he felt any symptoms), so would have had ‘social contacts’ at the club

As per the instructions, all those he came into contact with on Wednesday are ‘Social contacts’, which means that you need to monitor for symptoms and do a RAT test if you have any:- (https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#inbox?compose=CllgCJNtfSRWsgdBNSmfdQMfWrsRgVNTZKPbkXWhjstwtsjSlkNmhTLPtZBNVWlNWkvKCCzCkDq)

He had a fever, cough and scratchy throat yesterday. This morning he did not feel too bad.

He has been careful with wearing masks, etc., except on Monday, so this strain is very virulent!

He is in lockdown for a week, so won’t be playing golf, which is perhaps a good thing, seeing, as he put it “how badly I’m playing at the moment!”
