Update: YGC Pace of Play policy modified
Published on 19th December 2022 in UncategorizedMembers,
The pace of play policy has been in operation for 5 months now and the Match Committee has continued to monitor the competition and round times.
We are pleased to say that the vast majority of members have been very supportive of this initiative and players can see that it has had a positive effect.
As part the implementation review, the Match Committee has agreed that parts of the policy were in need of slight modification to make it easier to understand and implement. Although Local Rule 5G remains unchanged, some of the structure within the policy has changed and there is an even greater emphasis on education.
Local rule 5G
‘A player or group who finishes 18 minutes or more behind the group ahead combined with a round time of 4 hours 25 minutes or more is considered ‘slow’ and the Match Committee may issue a warning or apply a penalty. ‘
The modified policy and tips on playing ‘ready golf’ can be found on the website under ‘resources/local club rules’. We encourage all players to read the updated policy and playing tips [click the links below].
