Sammy, Codin and Paul Murtagh were settling into some ok golf. Nothing spectacular, but plenty of laughs. Perfect weather.

Sammy had hit it stiff on the 5th. Codin was just being Codin, and Paul was coming off pars on 6 & 7 (his ‘no-shot’ holes on the front nine) when he stepped up on 8 with an 8 iron. A smooth ‘knock-down’ and it was tracking straight off the club, with an ounce of draw. It pitched a few metres short and rolled straight toward the cup.

Everyone was thinking that’s gotta be close. They get to the green and it’s in the hole! (They could just see the top of it sitting against the pin). Then it dropped!! Sarge’s first at The Bat!

Codin and Sammy were going troppo. (Even more than me!) Codin wanted the whole course to know straight away. Sammy got into cameraman mode. Good fun.

None of them knew what to write on the NTP. (So they put 0.00m instead of hole in one!)

Sarge bought a few jugs when they got in. Few more laughs.

(Paul tells us the best part was walking through the crowd on the way to the 10th. News travels fast!!).

Shayne said he’d be hanging around a few hours – so he could wait to share the beers!
